Default Yet more turmoil and intregrity loss at rpm

Interesting. I get all my groups through a paid news service (GigaNews)
and view everything like I have for a zillion years with all the other
newsgroups. Never have seen anyone also do their own hosted group that
posts (I'm assuming) simultaneously on Usenet.

That's what's known as "gating" - I'm not sure how many mail-lists are
gated
to Big-8 Usenet groups, but it's pretty common with private news
servers
(like support lists for many software publishers).

That's not what happens here. When you submit a post to your news
server,
it gets diverted to an email address (or you can just send email
direct to
that address, which I forget...). We check it and approve or reject.
When
it's approved, it gets submitted to a special news server that ensures
we
have the authority to post, then propagates to the rest of the world.

HTML is prohibited in part C03 of the group's charter. I'm not sure why
one of the moderators is using it, and why HTML posts are being allowed
through. I sometimes use a client that can't read HTML too.

Could the moderation software transform multipart/alternative into
text/plain only?

I still use a client that doesn't support mime but that shouldn't be a
problem since this is a text only newsgroup.

I never noticed those before in rec.ponds, but that might have been
because in-transit news server were silently transforming them for me
before.

This is Derek the #1 moderator in rpm who does what he dam well
pleases in disregard for any charter. I wul dhave to assume after
reading all these ****uop in short order that the group has been up
its a loosing situation due to Derek Broughtons attitude.....2 Major
fiascos and both point to Derek the roguye moderator...

What do yu expect for some one that is emphatuated with CArol Gulley
