in soft low pH water copper sulfate is more toxic to fish. at high pH the copper
locks up with calcium. cs is not recommended to use it with high pond temps either.
they "think" the killing of algae and oxygen depletion is one reason for fish death.
not sure about that but it is a .edu site so more dependable. Ingrid
