I've had one now for 9 years, what is the lifespan on these guys? Brian Hi Brian. Pay no attention to "Pondmeister". It's simply my turn to be a target for his foul mouthed tantrums. Just ignore him. As for your Pleco, I did a quick search and came up several differnent answers. Anywhere between 4-20 yrs. Isn't that crazy. I checked 4 sites and got 4 different answers. They are also called "bristlenose" plecos as well. They're great for algae control and stay relatively small. A much better choice of Pleco than a common one. It's too bad the pet shops don't push them instead of the commons (who get very large). Sorry I couldn't help you with the facts, but I just coudln't get a common answer. |
