Following my postings in two other threads I thought I would give some
feed back. No-one thinks it was HITH. The good news is that the whitish shiny patches are not even evident tonight so things have improved there. I'll be keeping my tank at 0.1% salt solution for the next while and after that will let it gradually reduce through the regular water changes. I have to say that all the fish look more vital since the first two water changes and the salt has been added. In addition I have started a better food regimen. I have ordered some beef-heart (ox-heart actually) which I will get tomorrow. I will be making up a beef-heart mix and then freezing it. I know this can be a messy food and am planning on feeding it 3 times a week depending on how the fish like it - Bi weekly water changes and gravel vac should take care of this. I shoudl also like to add some additional mechanical filtration. Thanks for those who responded. Trev |
