Hello,
I have a 180 litre tank, approx 16" front to back, 18" high. It currently houses 2 Blue Acaras, 5 Buenos Aires Tetras and a Bristlenose plec. I spotted some young Jewel cichlids in a local shop, and am very tempted. I know they are aggressive, but I figure they are smaller than the Acaras, and possibly too slow to catch the Tetras. Does this make sense, or will a bloodbath be the result?! If it came to it, I would be prepared to give the Tetras away in order to get the Jewels, would this help the situation? By the way, I am thinking on getting 2 or 3 of the Jewels. Regards, Richard. |
