![]() "jk" wrote in message et... "Sam" wrote in message ... Hiya I'm interested in what people do once they have bred their fish! Do some people supply shops? If so, I presume they pay you and it is worthwhile breeding them? I hope this isn't a daft question but how do u post fish!? Or do u simply not post them and hand deliver only. I'm curious as to what people do with their fish. I want to try something new, and as i've been running aquariums for a while now, I have often thought about breeding, but I'm not sure what to do with the fish if they breed! Wpuld be greatful if anyone could shine a light on my query or can suggest anything! Thanks Not to worry. Unless you are equipped with many tanks, there's a good chance you may only have a few that survive to decent size. If and when that happens, your LPS will usually take them for a store credt you can use for food and such. -- JK Sinrod Sinrod Stained Glass Studios www.sinrodstudios.com Coney Island Memories www.sinrodstudios.com/coneymemories I tried to sell them off on AquaBid with no damn luck. I was not into shipping the fish and no one wantted to pick them up, even if people bought them at the price I had them on the site for I was losing money. Not cheap to feed not cheap to heat and not cheap for water.. Needless to say I have a local fellow that is intresated in taking a 145 different sized cichlids of my hands for about 75 cents each. There are some very nice fish in the lot and even includes 2 trios of breeders and one very nice Red Top Blue. I don't have the room for them and I am moving. I used to take store credit, but I have so much built up and their is nothing left in the store that has any intrest to me.. Needless to say there has been a batch of babies here and there that stayed in the community tanks. Cheap food I guess... Tim |
