Can I Get Anti-Biotics?

I have a wild fish (bluegill) that was caught with a fishing pole and

It looks to me like some sort of infection. My water isn't great (nitrates
are pretty high--I'm doing some water changes but have had some trouble)

the other fish seem to be doing fine.

I was just wondering if it's possible to administer antibiotics to this
fish, and if they can be purchased without going to a vet.

Antbiotic availability is country dependant.
In the UK you can only get pet antibiotics through a vet
In the USA they are readily available from pet stores or at least they were
when I was last there!
