Some more info about CO2 systems
http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/ "James M K" wrote in message .. . Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3). When it is mixed with an acid liquid it releases the gas carbon dioxide (CO2): NaHCO3 + H+ ----- Na+ + H20 + CO2 (soda) (acid) (sodium) (water) (gas) acid: vinegar would evaporate to aquarium with CO2 so I think that citric acid would be better. Drops of dissolved in a water soda dropped to disolved in a water citric acid will make a clear CO2. Is there any Chemist who could calculate it? |
