I was wondering about people and their ponding intension the other day. Mine was built for toads. 2 big goldfish may stay but that's only because i let myself get attached to them. I go out and say "Hey, Big Boy..." and he comes to the surface and lets me pet him and i feed them a little. So, he stays for sure. But this whole endeavor (and more to come...hopefully someday picture worthy) started out with a plastic bowl with ice water for the toads in august. Now i have built up a little jungle area for them to live in (and they do) and have a 75 gallon breeding tank for them. It's real exciting to me. Including the netting for predator control and the whole thing. turtles and tadpoles never see my pond, nor do bathing birds. Ingrid |
