![]() "stricks760" wrote in message news:tZQ6b.29901$S_.11315@fed1read01... My local pond store said to put Lillies in half potting soil, half cat litter. They guy wants to sell me a little bag of 'special' pond soil for about 15 bucks. Can I get something at Home Depot or Lowes that I can mix with cat litter and get same results? Soil from elsewhere in my yard won't work, it's sand with just about zero organic matter. I don't use cat litter, but I mix "Composted Cow Manure" (available at Frank's and Home Depot and other places) with ordinary topsoil with great success. I suspect that Cat litter plus composted cow manure would work very well as well. Do not use dehydrated cow manure however. |
