MH taking longer to turn on.

Hi all,

I have a MH pendant with a 175w true 10K german bulb. It replaced a 20K
from coral life that was 1 1/2 old.

I've been using the 10K one for a month. Both bulbs turned/turn on
immediately I hit the ballast switch, albeit very dim, and usually
developing intensity as seconds go by.

Yesterday, it took the bulb about 1/2 hour to light up. Today, again the
same thing. Absolutely not an iota of light when I turn the switch on.

Could it be the ballast or the bulb? Any suggestions are welcomed greatly.
