Default mosquitoes ~ caveat emptor

One of the things that drives me nuts... but I guess makes
our economy tick so I shouldn't complain too much? The
manufacture of 'stuff' for the pond that isn't needed.

Anyway. I bought a pond magazine today (which will remain
nameless as they put this thing in editorial content) and there
it was, a whole half page picture of this alien looking dome.
Looks like a white space ship on stilts with two pendulums
hanging down from it to agitate the water. Thus making 'moving
water' to keep the mosquitoes from laying their eggs in the
water. Two double d batteries work for two months of 24/7
agitation. The whole thing is warrantied for six months.
Priced on froogle from $17 to $24.
It was orginally made for birdbaths and fits in one.
Do you think it will work for the whole pond?
Take a look

A ten cent goldfish does the job nicely and is much prettier to look at.
Mosquito Dunks or Bits also work great and don't need batteries.

Okay, I'm done complaining now ;-)
(My opinion only, I'm not employed by Mosquito Dunks or the Goldfish Lobby.)
