The T3's put out allot of heat and I KNOW you'll end up needing a chiller.
The Quiet ones are not Quiet and overheat way to easy (I am referring to the new and old models). I'd never do a mag drive..noisy, and some of the flimsiest housing I've ever seen, however they are cheap..but you get what you pay for. I personally would try an Eheim hobby pump maybe the 1261 or 1262. Unfortunately the Eheim pumps are not cheap...mine set me back a few hundred bucks. Just my 2 cents. Ian "Ken" wrote in message news:Gs8gb.506975$cF.181414@rwcrnsc53... Hey everybody, thanks for reading. I am having a very difficult time deciding on a pump for my return line. I have considered a GRI (Gorman Rupp) 510 (can't find much feedback on these), Custom Sealife velocity T3 (worry about heat exchange with this one) and a Lifegard Quiet One. I could really use some input on this decision. Please let me know what you are using good or bad. If there is a pump I'm missing let me know about it. My main qualities I'm looking for are quietness, heat exchange and durability. I'm looking for around 600-800 gph at 4.5' head. Thanks so much, Ken |
