Yep, thanks. I read quite a bit and took what was offered here to start on a new and
exciting endeavor (obsession). I was intrigued by the dwarf cichlids and liked the idea of having several of the little buggers teaming together. The shell dwellers were my first choice but as others suggested, there are some other dwarf varieties as well. Friday I picked up 2 pair of Apistogramma Borellii cichlids from Paraguay. They are cute little buggers, me being more used to seeing the firemounths, Jacks, Jewels, and Jurapari. I'm of course hoping to breed these initial pairs and openly appreciate any advice offered. I'm smiling as I write this, because I actually wrote "apistogramma borellii" and I know what it means. ![]() Here's a picture of the big male. The others are a little smaller and have less color. Is it a "yellow"? http://www.geocities.com/erviservy/Aborellii.jpg Also, the other smaller fish have a more pronounced black strip. steve |
