It occurred to me this may happen with the smaller koi and it did. One
managed to get UNDER the net over a pot of waterlilies and could not escape. His/her body was caught about midway - it wasn't gillnetted. I don't know how long it was caught before I found and freed it just now. The fish doesn't look too good. This is an small gold koi born last year and is about 6" long.
