My 55 gallon finally cycled--hey, I know four weeks isn't that long of a
time, but we were really getting tired of staring at an empty tank. We braved the snow and went to the fish store today, and now the tank has occupants: 6 small Labidichromis caerelus and 6 small Cynotilapia afra "Hai Reef red tops". They seem to be having a great time exploring all the rock caves and tunnels, and are very active and visible right now. I still want to get some Synodontis multipunctatus, but they're $50 a pop here and I'm going to wait a bit. Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and let them know how things turned out.
