Default Update on my son's tank move

Hi All,
For some reason I appear to have lost the last threads hence the new post.

We moved plants, ornaments and some of the media from his existing tank. My
son opted out of moving all the fish at one time as we know someone with a
propensity to move too much too soon and have seen the results that they
have - dead fish :-( and multiple phone calls to me as to what to do
next.....

So we moved the 3 Harlequins (which incidently cycled his first tank) and 2
Glowlight Tetras. We have been checking the water daily and the
nitrates/nitrites were getting high but not to the levels suggested as being
dangerous - no ammonia. We have done 10% water changes every other day as
well

Today we lost two of the Harlequins. We therefore have moved the internal
pump from my community tank (also has an external which is fully cycled).
Nitrates/nitrite readings already coming down since last night. I am forcing
my son to the LFS tomorrow to get more plants to help this.....

I hate losing fish :-(
