Bummer! I'm debating on what to do now. Are you saying I shouldn't add
*any* other fish - even other types - with him in the tank?

If that truly is the case, and adding more would be detrimental to the
fish's environment, I think I'll call a little local store and see if
they'll take him - although I've already gotten to like him!

If ever I do screw up in the future and ask a store to take back a fish, how
do they feel about that? Wouldn't they be nervous considering it could have
disease or toxins that they don't know about? I'm surprised they might take
fish off anybody they don't know.
