news ![]() Same problem I had.. Paypal and the way it attaches to you bank account. You are limited in options then Yep....doin' it that way is the same as writing them a check. Once they cash it, you're screwed. "Paypal and the way it attaches to you bank account"....eewwwww...sounds like a leech or something. This fact can't be stressed enough...never give an unknown seller "no recourse" access to your money. Always keep that Visa/MC ace up your sleeve when dealing with unknowns, and never, ever, let them drag things out so long that your recourse options dwindle. Is Paypal they still getting away with the "we provide bank-type services, but are not held to the same rules and regulations that the Feds govern real banks with" routine? I haven't heard anything on that front in a long time. FWIW, Kev |

Well, someone finally replied. It's kinda funny how it was within hours of
telling them to cancel the order and refund my money. Supposedly scheduled to ship today. Disco lights? Hmmmmmmm. Maybe throw in a little Capt. Morgan to set the mood...Nemo could get lucky tonight? "BriMc" wrote in message ... No I paid by paypal direct from bank which will never be done again. Brian "razingkane" wrote in message ... You paid with a credit card right? Call your CC company tell them what has happened and the CC will stop the payment or reverse the charges. If you want to spend the time you can also contact the Better Business Bureau in Marietta and go after them that way aswell...... Good Luck Rick "Skylove" wrote in message ... Has anyone ever purchased from Empire pets? They're located in Marietta, Ga. I ordered some stuff on the 1st, they hit my card, and I haven't heard a thing since. My account says it's still processing. They haven't answered any e-mails and forget calling. The old saying applies, if it quacks like a duck...etc. If they actually come through I'll let you know but I'm not holding my breath. Scott |

The Better Business Bureau is a joke. They don't do anything but play mail
carrier, becaue they don't want to loose that money that their members pay them. The BBB is nothing but a front. They may have been something at one time, but they are nothing good now. Wayne Sallee In article , "razingkane" writes: you can also contact the Better Business Bureau |

The thing that ****es me off the most is that now I have to waste time out
of my day because of their screw up and mail that product back to them (paying for it out of my pocket and they will/may refund). And I still have to wait until they process it before I get my correct product. Maybe I should just E-bay the disco lights and be ahead of the game. Hmmmm "WayneSallee.com" wrote in message ... From what I remember, anything that is mailed to you without your consent is
yours to keep. I was accidently sent a modem from my internet company a few months ago. It was supposed to go to another customer. They noticed their mistake and tried to intimidate me into mailing it back to them. I stood my ground and got to keep the modem. Robert "BriMc" wrote in message ...
