Here are some results: I have Danios, Platies, Swordtails, Gouramis and others. I found that mushed peas were surprising well received. Broccoli and zucchini were eaten but without much enthusiasm. I shredded a mid-sized shrimp and threw it in my 2 tanks and it was consumed within 2 days. The swords and platies loved the shrimp. My 2 Blue Gouramis seem to the least picky of my fishes. I really love my Gouramis, too bad I can't keep more than one per tank. If it took your fish 2days to eat it you fed them too much. In water at 25C that is teeming with bacteria and funghi by what magic did you stop the stuff from rotting? You over-estimated the speed at which food decompose. 2 days is not enough for purification to take full effect. Besides, the food was cooked and not raw to start with. It takes a while for the decomposition to take full effect. You can perform simple experiments to verify my theory, but of course I doubt if you have the intellect to do so. Oh, do you also know that fish have immune system? I doubt that was a recent discovery. so they have immune systems and that makes it ok to stress them? If you really think that then I have this nice bowl of salmonella for you to eat, should boost your immune system but good. Peter -- Add my middle initial to email me. If you zap the veggies in a little bit of water in the microwave they
will soften nicely and you won't have to wait for days. Be careful with beef; fish don't eat that in the wild and the high fat may not be good for them. I have heard some people RARELY feed beef heart to their carnivorous fish, but it is an occasional treat only. __________________________________________________ Posted via FishGeeks - http://Aquaria.info |
