I'm going to do with the common plecos when they outgrow these tanks. The
chains wont take fish back after 14 days.

You're going to find them a new and appropriate home, or you're going
to buy or make a bigger tank for them,

Another indoor tank is out of the question. These pleco's get 18" long, a
large as a midsize koi. I should have considered that when I bought them.

or you're going to euthanize
them,

I don't know how I could do that to healthy fish.

but you are not going to release them in to farmer john's pond.
Right?

I can, but they'd die when winter came......

I have an LDA25 'pitbull pleco.' These remain small (2" or so) and are
pretty good algae eaters (for more common easy types of algae in my
experience).

I have a pl*co being pushed off on me right now, friend has one who out grew
her 55g tank, she wants me to put it in my 120g and I don't want to as I
have one of my own who will go there some day....I know myself I will buy
the ones who don't get so big in the future..How big do the gold nuggets
get, i like them..
