You jumped the gun with your advice a bit, and that should have been
acknowledged by you, and then the necessary Q's asked of the original
poster.
Everything else should have been ignored.

Jump the gun? I think not!

You assumed that he began his "new tank" with all new gravel/sand,
rocks, etc. I did not ...

I could have looked for other reason a filter would have been "plugged"
so quickly, I suppose ... such as the individual forgot and got one of
his shirts inserted into it. A marble is stuck in one of the hoses. He
is dumping his ashtrays into the tank ...

I took it for granted the individual had more brains than some here and
would have noticed such things ... but if you care to insult his
intelligence ... go ahead, we'll watch ...

JS

Yes, EVERYTHING I suggested were valid fixes to known problems which
occur ... if not of immediate value to the original poster, they will be
in the future.

You split hairs for some reason, most likely just a personal character
defect within yourself; easily overlooked, actually ... calm down, carry
on ...

Best get over it Johnny Boy, TYNK forgot more about fish keeping and
related items than you'll ever know in the time that it took you to
write your spiel. Hey Tynk, when you going to come down and visit us.
We even have some pretty neat wild tropical fish I never even heard of
before in the streams here.

yawn ... but good luck with your GAY-la event ... :-)

ON A 2 WEEK OLD TANK???
No. Nothing you you mentioned, except for a clog from substrate were
valid for a 2 week old tank.
In 2 weeks there should NOT be enough gunk to block a filter.
It doesn't matter that it *may* be useful info for the *future*. There
is such a thing as too much information....especially when it comes to
newbies in this hobby....which the poster said they were.

I made a simple correction to something you posted and you toss out
insults.
What a jerk.

Somehow, it like you didn't hear me. At this point I just take it for
granted you are too stupid too -- others may decide for themselves ...

However, I do know imitation is the most sincere form of flattery ...
I'd much prefer the same from a female and not an impersonator ... :-(

But then, I AM happily married! :-)

Any help, we just got our tank 2 weeks ago as first timers. just
cleaned the filter and yellow clog indicator has not went down. Any
suggestions?

Just a thought, you have checked the clog indicator and made sure it is
not stuck, right ...

My Fluval 4 once had its' indicator stuck, some high pressure water to
flush it out worked ...
