Can't see thru platic back window anymore

Have 1995 318 convertible and need to replace the back window.
New models have a glass window. Is there a way to replace the plastic window
with glass?
Or would that require a different geometry of the top frame mechanism?
Any recommendations from those that have done this already?

Unfortunately, the glass window top is a totally different design (I have a
1996 328iC, and had the same problem). However, the window is available by
itself, and can be replaced without replacing the whole top. I bought a rear
window on EBay, the seller included instructions. After looking at them, I
decided to have it done by the dealer. This is 1.5 years ago, I don't
remember exactly what the install cost was, but it was reasonable
(especially compared to replacing the whole top). I also have a hardtop for
my 328, it has a much larger window than the convertible top.
