My alarm was fitted by the dealer, and it's quite easy for me to change the
behaviour. I just hold both buttons on the remote. That toggles the car between chirping and being silent. ..B ekiM "Jim Levie" > wrote in message news > On Tue, 21 Dec 2004 02:37:42 +0000, RgvKid wrote: > >> hi, >> cant seem to find any details of how to stop the annoying chirp on my >> system.i have the manual and original receipt (fitted when car was new in >> 1997).the alarm model is a bmw digital alarm system 3G EWS. i've checked >> the manual and it doesnt tell you how to change it. any ideas much >> appreciated before my neighbours string me up. cheers >> ps a few people had suggested that thhis might be a job for the dealer >> with a plug-in > > If this is the standard BMW alarm system only the dealer can change its > notification behavior. > > -- > The instructions said to use Windows 98 or better, so I installed RedHat. > |
