1957 - 196? DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial

More lap room and easier for shorter people to see over.

Later (61? I think? and up) Studebakers except for Avantis had a
steering wheel that wasn't "square" per se but was slightly ovaled. I
believe this was done for thigh clearance.

As did late 50's/early 1960's DKW 1000/3=6's
Didn't Knight Rider's KITT have a steering wheel like an aircraft yoke?
That's pretty close to square.....
