Default GPL 1969 Part II Mod Has Been Released

....and I can't believe it hadn't warranted a mention here on R.A.S., of
all places. Well, here's the announcement:

http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=253397

GPL is a long, long way from dead. There are some amazing things on the
GPL horizon. It may not have some of the features that the newest sims
have, but it has a historic undertone that no other sim is, or will be
able to duplicate. This fantastic 69 mod is a graphic illustration of
that. If you an ex-GPL'er, you need to check this one out; it will
likely get your GPL blood going again.

Ya, it's shame GPL couldn't use the ports that other online games use, cause I
can't play online. Couldn't someone just fix this?

"other online games use"? Do they all use the same? Sounds
unlikely. Odd.

There are probably settings in your firewall that can redirect traffic,
or you could try to use NAT to achieve that result, I belive.

Remember Fletch, GPL predates windows 98, so there was no effective
Direct X software to funnel ports, recognize joysticks, or enable 3d.
It all had to be fudged by the programmers and there was no standard like
there is today. Yeah, it's a shame, but it's not responsible for your
not being able to get online. Grab some knowledge, learn how to open your
own ports and off you go...
I was tempted to say, Cowboy Up in that last sentence, but due to
recent certain types of movies...I'll skip that....
