Jamie has told me that there are 75 rear benches with leather, but they are
rare.

That explains why I've never seen one, then. If someone like him rarely
sees one, then the rest of us have no chance.

I'm surprised it was available, but that's mainly based on the fact that
I've never seen one, IYSWIM.

Yep, fair point. I always advise those poor, misguided fools that ask for
advice to spend under budget, then leave the money in the bank for when it
goes to the service

If it helps, it's no longer on Autotrader, and I can't remember who was
selling it.

Probably sold now, and most likely for peanuts, 'cos it was a bit too
'out of the box' for most people, and he'd had it for months.

I'm kicking myself for not waving £500 at him now....

It's working for me now - having paid a pittance for a reasonably tidy
75, I still had money to sort out the major known hassles - clutch and
'box. Mechanically, mine is now superb, but needs some minor bodywork
doing to make it perfect.

I plan to sort this sometime this year, though.

Heh.

I'm sure that if I drove a V6 the way I drive my TS, then I'd be
bankrupt within a few months ;-)

Just because you didn't see one, doesn't mean it wasn't an option, and that
no-one ordered it (to state the obvious).

> However, if it was available, it was as a dealer-fit retrim, not

Was it? How did you work that one out? Looks factory-fit in the pics in my
brochure...

Other options we

-Air con
-Elec sunroof (standard in the 3.0)
-Metallic paint

The LE only came with Recaro cloth, as you say, but some previous model
years had these options - I think from the time when they stopped offering
the 1.8 and (in the UK at least) only offered the 2.0TS and 3.0 Cloverleaf.
The LE was sold around in 1992, so I guess the brochure I have was from
around 1990.

I worked it out as I know someone who did a lot of dealer-fit leather
trims at one point.

It's is / was quite common to do this, especially with Japanese stuff,
rather than take a leather option from the factory (if it existed).
