Too much oil in Saturn?
I took my 96 Saturn to the dealer for an oil change and the next day when I
checked the dip stick the oil level was about 1/4 inch above the crossed lines on the dipstick. I checked and rechecked this and it always came up the same. Is this normal? Could they have put in too much oil? Should the oil level read only to the top of the crossed lines or what? Thanks Marc |

1/4 " over the top part of the FULL hatch lines shouldn't hurt anything. I
assume that you are checking the oil with the engine cold and the car on a level surface? 1/4" isnt enough to worry about, and if it's a twin cam, it'll problably use some oil after a month or two of driving. marx404 |
