Wiper problem & door skin
My daughter has a 99 SC1 and the right wiper moves but don't seem to be on
the splines or something, it can be moved when the wipers are not on, or if snow on it the one goes but not the other. Can and how do you remove the wiper from the spline type drive? Or can I tighten it some how? She also just got the right front hit and behind the wheel and door panel and mirror all need to be repaired. Any advice as to best way to repair on a limited budget. Thank you. -- Greg &/or Kellie Meyer |

Remove the black plastic cap from the base of the wiper, there should be a
nut you can tighter the arm to the spline. Musta been quite a hit to cause so much damage to her car, eh? Best bet is to get yourself a Hanes repair manual which shows the basics on panel and body work, etc. Then I suggest finding either a local git-it yerself junkyard or use an online place like 6th Planet Used Auto Parts who will get the parts for you and ship them. marx404 |
