92 Gr. Caravan Power Locks Diagnosis
Anyone have experience diagnosing a powerlock problem? Lock switch works fine on passendger side. It unlocks and locks all locks fine. Drive side locks fine, but doesn't unlock. I've got Chilton's manual for it, but can't make crap out of power locks. Is there a "common" reason for this on these models (maybe a sensor or something)? I changed the switch from the other side and it does the same, so I know it's not the switch. I did some general "looking" at the wiring and didn't see anything obvious. Thoughts? Thank you! |

check the wiring harness between the door and the body where the door
hinges are. the unlock wire is probably broken. |

Started there, but just did general looking at the harness area.
Before I started "unwrapping" things, I wanted to get a sanity check. Thanks! You have experience with this particular problem? Is this the common reason for this type of problem? I was wondering if the actuator on the door latch itself could be a problem? I can't find a wiring diagram for this component of the van. Thanks again!!!! |
