2002 Jetta 1.8T Triptronic Tansmission Question

I did just bring my 2002 Jetta GLS 1.8T to dealer service for the same
reason, and result. Have you resolved this issue? Do you have any
insight or related information?

I missed the original posting that went along with this reply.
I would be interested in seeing it because I had a 2002 1.8T
with the triptronic that I got rid of it because I didn't like the
jerky, "dumbness" of the transmission.

**** I now have a 5-speed, 2003 Jetta TDI.

Just FYI: My '02 Passat with Tiptronic never had that problem (not
that I noticed anyway), but when it was in for its last service back
in November there was a service bulletin which applied some sort of
update to the transmission (software change only, it appears).

Do you know if it is the same transmission in both the Passat and Jetta?
I have no idea.
