When you're just crusing on the interstate system, it's no trouble to get
decent mileage. And, under those conditions when the Vette is in 6th gear, it's just loafing and there's little wind resistance due to the body design. You're obviously well informed when it comes to gear ratios and engine rpms. Just think about it. Sounds to me like this thing got a lot better mpg than you all thought
it would. My car is a guzzler right now, so those numbers look great to me. Ride nice on the highway? |

I can understand where the logic is coming from, but I have yet to talk to a Z06 owner personally that commented on the great gas milege of thier Vette... granted, most I know don't drive them much (some only to and from the track)... It makes sense, just no personal experience with that. > > > > "Wicked96SS" > wrote in message > ... > > On Tue, 26 Oct 2004, Jack Carter wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > The EPA road mileage rating is 29 mpg!!!! > > > > I admire the self control one must have to get 29 MPG... > > > > > > > > > > > "Wicked96SS" > wrote in message > > > ... > > > > On Mon, 25 Oct 2004, Jack Carter wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Not bad, but just for comparison's sake, that's about 7 or 8 mpg > LESS > > > than > > > > > what my 405hp Z06 Vette gets under about the same conditions.
