Can anyone tell the difference between rotors and pads (truthfully)?

My first 4Runner had over 80,000 miles on it when it was totalled from the rear in a hit and run accident. I gave the front pads to a buddy and they still had 5 mm of OEM material on them when I did (and I had never replaced them and had bought the 4Runner new). This second 4Runner has 50,000 miles on it and the pads are still thick as Ronald Reagan's hair. Amazing. I do go OEM for everything and since my 1998 has never had a repair until now, I had to learn where the best Internet dealership is. I found the two best ones from you guys (Thanks). I already ordered the OEM rotors and pads from that Internet Toyota dealership for more than 25% less than what the local dealerships were charging! (I want them to stay in business!). Thanks for the advice, Stu |
