It's easy to confuse all you silly Europeans because you all have names that can't be pronounced properly. I was thinking of another silly foreigner with a J name. You know what they say. You see one, you've seen 'em all. That phrase now applies to Europeans. K. |

Americans shouldn’t have the thinking that they are the reference for everything as they do. The Europeans don’t have any responsibility if you only know how to speak one language. I know that the Americans tend to think that the other cultures are *strange* I would say different. Those are the thought of immature people that have money but no culture. I think that’s enough for now :-) Joao 72 Super 1302 |

Inside joke I guess. No need to get snippy. I actually don't think other cultures are strange per say. I have no money but according to Jan I have at least a little culture. Anyway, that wasn't directed at you. It was at Jan, which is why I replied to him. K. |

Back to the original topic... I started the engine today on a test bench, and discovered the leaking carb throat. I didn't get it fixed today. And when I blew the oil cooler or seals, I decided it was best to just put the thing away and start doing something else. So I fitted the rag on the convertible. Still some finishing touches to be made, but I finally did it. Been meaning to, for many years So I'm now trying to get the car inspected with a loaner engine next week. Prepping the car for inspection and trying to go back to the engine problem every now and then. I *really* need it fixed before Friday, argh. The engine, while it ran before blowing the oil cooler, ran STRONG. Sounded pretty damn impressive It was talking to me, begging me to rev it up just a little bit. Which I did. So that's why the cooler blew. I just blipped the throttle a little while maintaining 2000-3000rpm idle, and it sort of jumped right to 7500-8000rpms before I could say "oops" Jan |
