Tailgate locks
I have a 1996 Ford F150 4X4 that I just bought and I would like to
install a tailgate lock on it. Anyone have experiences with these locks? The key latch type would appear to be easily removed. I have seen an electrical release type that operates from the cab. I would like to keep the tailgate clean, that is, no attached latches. I realize almost anything can be stolen but I am looking for something that might deter theft. Thank you. Richard |

If you just want to protect from tailgate theft, for about a buck you
can put a hose clamp around each hinge and it will go nowhere. Ycan even use heavy duty nylon ties.
