bad MAF symptoms
Hi
The service light is constantly lit up on my friends 89. It gives code 36 & he tells me that his car runs fine but with a power loss. Sometimes on mine, I loose my acceleration completely for about 6-8 seconds and then the service light comes on for about 8 seconds and leaves code 36. Apparently from what I heard, my problem will get worst. I'm wondering what are symptoms that some of you's have experienced with a bad maf. Thanks Dan 89 Coupe Blk on Blk P.S. Not too long ago I posted up an add about my friends ZR1 hesitating at low RPM's. It turned out that 2 out of 4 spark coils were faulty. |

The answer is in your Factory Service Manual under "Drievability &
Emissions". Follow the basic troubleshooting steps. Oh I forgot, you are too cheap to have a manual...you want to have someone here fix your car over the internet. Stop living vicariously thru your friend's ZR-1. Buy a manual you cheapskate. It turned out that 2 out of 4 spark coils were faulty. I had plugged cats. Make sure your car can exhale - if it can't, it shows up as MAF, O2 sensor, all kinds of stuff (which may also have problems, but isn't the root cause of the code....)
