Default Radio automatic turnoff: nothing can go wrong go wrong go wrong

The cheap radio I bought at a K Mart store for my van quit working years
ago.I get nervous listening to a radio when I am driving.I will not
replace that old radio.

I'd be very surprised if the radio would play until the battery was dead.
This is not exactly a new feature (my 2003 S-10 has it!), and in every
manual I've seen, GM says the retained accessory power feature will turn off
in twenty minutes.

It works on my truck...

It actually isn't a new feature at all. My 1996 Bonneville has it.
