Oil mixing with the fuel has NOTHING to do with whether an engine is
"2-cycle" or not. Whether an engine is 2- or 4- cycle has to do with how
many distinct phases of the combustion process exist, and whether
they're cleanly divided into intake-compression-burn-exhaust, or whether
they blur into exhaust/intake and compression/burn. There are plenty of
2-cycle engines that don't mix oil with the fuel (Detroit Diesel, EMD,
Napier, and Fairbanks-Morse diesels for example.)
