Hi Dick,
I change my oil, too and have over three hundred and fifty thousand
mile on my '78 Bronco: http://www.billhughes.com/smog.jpg The heads have
never been off, C-6 transmission at 170,000 and that was because I got a
little lazy with a ten year old car.

Don't forget about the spark plug socket sticking
to the new plug... your ratchet may have a lock,
but your extensions don't! I use ring expander
pliers when that happens... grip the 3/8" drive
from the inside. Or just try not to push too hard!
