Valuation: 164 Lusso TwinSpark
I don't quite know how this has happened, but I seem to be the proud?
owner of an Alfa Romeo 164 2.0l Twin Spark Lusso. Leather and alloys, lowered suspension kit. Grey paint, no rust, sunroof, 5sp manual. Its not in the 1st flush of youth, being a 1992, but it has just passed its MOT and runs well. It has a mildly interesting number plate (if you happen to be called Marvin Lionel Postlethwaite or any other name with MLP intials. The Prefix being J and the numbers 63). 2 Owners from new, all previous MOTs agree with mileage of 87757. Location: Bedford What do you reckon for a fair price? The leather is not in very good condition but the rest of the car is good for the age. -- ColonelTupperware spouting ******** on Usenet since 1997 Usenet FAQ at http://www.its.caltech.edu/its/servi...ws/news2.shtml UPCE FAQ at http://upce.org.uk/ UKRM FAQ at http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ |

Older 164s are worth absolutely bugger all to the trade - I wouldn't give more than £400 for it, even with such a good history / low mileage. PeteM recently picked up a similar car, but higher mileage for under £150 from an auction. Selling privately - advertise for £500 and see how it goes. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - Alfa 155 TS Lusso - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

I wouldn't knock it. It's likely to be one of the most bullet proof cars you could buy. The electrics have a habit of playing up, but the mechanical bits are as solid as anything produced by any manufacturer, and with it's galvanised shell, it's never going to fail an MOT on structural rust. It'll make a cheap old barge for someone to abuse for a few years. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - Alfa 155 TS Lusso - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |
