Ziebart vs "The Protector" vs ??
I don't know nowadays how much Ziebarting is. I paid about $300 in 1995 on a new Ford Windstar. I still have it -- with just one modest rust area. If its nowadays $800 plus, I'd skip it too and do what you can yourself.
What's the best? I was told a "secret" by my autobody guy after using rubberized undercoating myself (applying it to all my other vehicles as well as reapplying to that Windstar once). Use the TUFF COAT type pickup truck spray can bed liner spray!!! It DOES work well for the undercarriage as well as a pickup truck bed liner! And it will stick longer, not wear off with salt/sand spray, and isn't that much more expensive than good, rubberized undercoating! Yep...that's the secret now to a long life vehicle - body wise. |
