You're able to order a convertible already? A friend holding out for the
'verts will be thrilled to hear that! I've seen a few pics of the topless
'05s and they are indeed beautiful <drool>. Hope to see some pics when you
take delivery

The shaker seems to be able to handle anything you throw at it. I was
pleasantly surprised by the amount of bass the trunk sub produces. So much
so that it vibrates the body quite nicely; kind of like having a massage
chair in the car

Hi Kate,

Already got 200 miles on her and I have a feeling that the wheels will get
pointed Westward sometime in the future

Mike

Btw, found a new local club called 'Horseplay Mustang Club'. Talked to the
leader and found that alot of the folks were former members of the Queen
City Mustang Club. Apparently, they weren't too happy with the name either,
LOL!

Thank you all for the kind comments. It's been a huge thrill so far to be
back in the Mustang spirit after a long hiatus.

The one side-effect I wasn't prepared for was the attention that these cars
receive. Thumbs-up by people driving alongside, kids pointing,
conversations with strangers at mini-marts, and just general staring, etc.
I'm a quiet/reserved person by nature, so this unexpected phenomenon is a
bit embarrassing. But, it's been interesting

Sorry, wanted to be more clearer about the rattle: the noise I'm referring
to can only be heard at the outside rear of the car. The inside is tight as
a drum and rattle-free when the volume is turned up.

I KNOW you are going to think this is nuts, but check your rear license
plate and plate frame.
It's quite possible it is the culprit. If it is, you can get little adhesive
backed rubber bumpers to put under it to stop it's rattling.

That's a good idea, but unfortuately there's no license plate or frame at
all right now, only a paper temp tag.

I've met quite a few nice fellas just by having my car too. All of the other
Mustang GT's around here are.... well.. stock. Just about all of 'em anyway.
My buddy Stan has 3.73 gears, CAI, etc, etc... same stuff I do minus
subframe connectors. We're the only 2 people I've seen that have "lightly
modified" our cars. Everybody here is either stock or supercharged. And only
2 GT's I've seen were supercharged . BOY are they quick though!!

I've also met my fair share of Chevy enthusiast cockwads though. Like last
night... this biggo Chevy truck gases it a little bit as I pass going a/b
40MPH (speed limit 40MPH mind you).. so I decide to have a little fun.. I
put it in 2nd gear (note 3.73 gears) & slowly let off clutch to ease into
it... then I tap the gas a couple times & bark the tires at him. Then I put
it in 3rd & slowly go ahead of him. We meet each other at the next stop
light... "That thing a V6?" he asks. "Nope...." I reply. "Oh I'm sorry...
because it sounded like one.. F*CKING FORD!!!" Now I just couldn't help but
laugh at such a retard... because he's staring at me while he's saying this
& accelerating at the stop light... and he *almost* rear-ends his buddy of
front of him & hasta slam on his brakes & makes himself look like a total
jackass.

Note: I have nothing against Chevrolet/GM/Pontiac/whatever vehicles... he
just happened to be driving one .

I LOVE to bait guys like that at a stoplight.
Make like the light turned green while he is looking at you and hop forward.
They don't even look, they just start to go. LMAO!I have had people nearly
pull into intersections doing that cause they were so busy worrying that I
might try to beat them out of the light.

I still like Chevy trucks. I saw one at the match last week that made me
drool and slobber all over myself. I just like the way they look, the way
they ride and the way they sound. I've had a few Chevy trucksand loved them
all. Now that I am married to a Ford man, chances are there will be some
persuading before I could ever get a bowtie. ALTHOUGH.... I sure wish they
made a 4WD Lightning!
