Default 96 Accord whistling while recirculating air?

A whistling noise, much like when a window is cracked slightly, happens in
my 96 Accord when the recirculation air option is used. Fresh air, the
whistling stops.

Any thoughts??

If you have a cabin filter, get it changed (DIY) and the whistle will
probably stop. Should be changed yearly anyway. (if there is one) Parts
from NAPA
