He's merely reporting the true fact that, if anyone gets hurt, then laws a lot more serious than speeding were being broken, and those laws are all we need for proper safety. Speeding per se is a victimless crime. A good penalty for _enforcing_ speeding laws would be 20 years. |

Kevin,
The original poster is a well known troll in the political groups. It started posting to r.a.d about 4 years ago. It recently started cross posting its crap to m.t.r. The best thing to do is killfile it. |

To be forced to obey them for the rest of their natural lives. If they can't or won't comply, they will be chauffeured by a driver that will. I would certainly volunteer a day a month for such duty. It would be my pleasure to demonstrate just how asinine our speed limit laws can be. nate ObWhine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4517044207 -- replace "fly" with "com" to reply. http://home.comcast.net/~njnagel |

Speed, in and of itself, isn't the problem. Reckless driving is the
problem; the two terms are not synonyms. That the majority of the population is incapable of making the distinction doesn't change the fact. Consider the autobahn, and how much faster well educated and well trained drivers are capable of operating their vehicles safely at speeds that would bewilder the typical American driver. |
