Default ZZ4 in a C3

Has anyone here installed a zz4 engine in a C3 Vette? What problems were
encountered? or was it a simple transplant? Is there anything you wish you
would have done different? I know its alot of questions but I want to be
sure im looking at doing the right thing.

Thanks
Mike

Buddy of mine put a ZZ4 in a '69 coupe, and either put on an aftermarket
L-88 type scoop or found a hood, can't remember which (it was two or three
years ago). It screams.

===========================
I have several frineds with ZZ4's in their C3's mainly early bumper
cars BUT also a 78 ... none have "mentioned" any problems with hood
clearance ..
I plan on dropping a ZZ4 in my 72 within a year or two as the present
engine is getting kind of tired... So I better ask them to make
sure...

><shakes fist> arrrgggghhh ;-)

I checked last eveing at our club meeting...

Not a single one had any hood clearance problems when they installed a
ZZ4 or a HO 350 engine in their C3's

The cars were a 69, 72, 77 and a 78... the 72 was an original LT1
however .
