Well in that case, you have 2 aerials - an FM aerial which is connected and
an AM aerial that is not connected. You will be very hard pressed to pick up any FM without an aerial. Any signal you do hear would have to be very strong to even get a poor mono reception! Many years ago I used to have a stereo in the house and the FM aerial was build into the power cord - perhaps something like this is going on? |
