91 164L questions
Hi,
I am in the process of switching a 3.0 bottom end, and have a few questions on the rear head, does the oil pump drive gear need to be disconected, if so where is the access. where are the match marks on the cam gears, I can not see any. After I roll the engine forward and remove the rear head is there clearance to rmove the engine without the transmision (automatic) Also none of the features on my power seats work, the fuse is good, is there any other common failure point for these. I do not have the time or money to put in to the car disk right now, so any help will be apreciated. |

Yup, they rarely work. Rears *never* work. > > I do not have the time or money to put in to the car disk right now, > so any help will be apreciated. Rears *never* work. I found that the fronts could be persuaded by giving the appropriate motor under the seat squab a sharp smack with a blunt instrument whilst holding down the relevant button. And it looks so sophisticated In their defence, I have to say that they are among the best standard-issue seats that I ever sat in - I transferred mine them on to my next, non-electric-seated, 164. -- PeterMcC If you feel that any of the above is incorrect, inappropriate or offensive in any way, please ignore it and accept my apologies. |
