Most V-8's that I've seen have one > of the front plugs as #1, but it could be on either the driver-side > cylinder head or the passenger-side cylinder head. Does anyone know > which it is in this car? I've had two Cadillacs from the 60's, and the #1 was always on the left [drivers'] side of the engine. I remember this because it's the opposite side from Fords I've owned and the Ford I still have is on the right. If you're in doubt, look at the front of your engine and notice that one bank of cylinders is slightly ahead of the other. The valve cover or spark plug that's closer to the front of the car is the side where the #1 cylinder is... -- 'dreas...tbtw#5 'They say for centuries lovely Japanese girls Victoria Taxi#15 have been trained in the art of pleasin' men.
