I think I built something worthy today. Time will tell tho. Basicallys its one of those fluidised sand bed filters except set up upside down and instead of sinking sand it's filled with floating pumice chunks. Not so sure but I think pumice may be an effective way to culture nitrate eating...

Best Way To clean Aquarium Decorations by Dave W.
What is the best way to clean aquarium decorations, such as resin rocks, caves, etc.? I have brown algae beginning to accumulate on some pieces and would like to clean them up. Should I use bleach water and rinse thoroughly or is there a safer, better product that people use for this?
