Fish stuck inside hole in rock! by
Texas Yankee
I have a bunch of Texas holey rock in my tank - the Mbunas love it - a few
months ago I had a real nice loach ("variegated", or something like that) -
he was about 2 1/2 - 3 inches long - good and healthy, always active, poking
into the crevices and such - and then I just never saw him any more -...

I need a suggestion for an algae eater by
red_foreman
29g planted CO2 injected tank
pH 7.0
kH 6
yeilding 18ppm
water changes every 2 weeks still gives me a good bushy layer of algae
and it's not a nuisance, but back to the question, I've been letting it
get that way somewhat on purpose... it's a growout tank of sorts, 7
kribs total, 2 adults, M-F,...

Red Tiger Oscar by
Shannon
Hi,
I live in Brisbane Australia. I recently bought a baby red tiger
oscar. Does it require a heater? It is quite warm here in summer,
take today for instance it was about 30 degrees celcius and very
humid. However it does get as low as 12 degrees celcius in Winter. I
was once told that...

Finally Stocked! by
Christopher Kollmann
My 55 gallon finally cycled--hey, I know four weeks isn't that long of a
time, but we were really getting tired of staring at an empty tank. We
braved the snow and went to the fish store today, and now the tank has
occupants: 6 small Labidichromis caerelus and 6 small Cynotilapia afra

Oscar changed colour by
Shannon
Hi,
I bought my oscar yesterday, and in the pet store it was all black,
with red circles.
Now it has some transparent stripes which run vertically all the way
around the fish up to the red circles. Is this normal? The
transparent stripes seem to get more noticable when I go up to the
tank - my...

Sick angelfish? by
Duf
I've got an angelfish (pterophyllum scalare) who doesn't look very happy
right now: damaged fins with bloody streaks on them and around the body (at
the base of the fins), black specks (seems like Ick, but black), and the
fish seems very thin, being very small in comparison to the second...

Scuba diver ornament by
Shannon
Hi guys,
I remember when I was a kid seeing fish tank ornaments of divers, and
the used to continually float and then sink, with bubbles coming out
of them. I can't find them anywhere on eBay. Does anyone know where
I can get these, preferrably in Australia, but any will do.
Is my oscar likely...

African cichlid mix by
TEACHSKIP
I need some advice. I have a mix of Lakes Victoria, Malawi and Tanganyikan
cichlids in a 55 gallon tank. All the fish look healthy except my 2 Vic's. They
both have hollow bellies and their color is a little paler than it used to be.
Is this a sign of internal parasites and, if so, how can it be...
